Our Story

We are “Apostolic in origin, universal in nature, biblical in faith, evangelical in principle, ecumenical in outlook, Oriental/Cultural/Contextual in worship, Presbyterian in function and Reformed in character.”

Our Standards
Subordinate to the scriptures as summary of faith based on scriptures, we hold to the ecumenical creeds and reformed confessions of the Reformed and Presbyterian churches. Namely, Apostles’, Athanasian and Nicene Creeds; the Westminster Confession of Faith; the Westminster Larger and Shorter catechisms. We also hold to the Three Forms of Unity, namely, the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession, and the Canons of Dort as our statement of faith.

Faith Statement:

  1. We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired of God, and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life;

  2. We believe in one God existing in three coequal and eternal persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit;

  3. We believe that man was created in the image of God, but that through the Fall of Adam he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and become sinners in through, word, and deed;

  4. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Eternal Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man;

  5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all that repent of their sins and believe on Him are justified before God on the ground of His shed blood;

  6. We believe in the bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate. In the blessed hope of the personal and visible return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ;

  7. We believe that salvation is by grace through faith and not by works and that all who repent and receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith and as Saviour are born again by the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God;

  8. We believe in the eternal security, bodily resurrection and everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the bodily resurrection and eternal conscious punishment of the lost;

  9. We believe in the real spiritual unity in Christ of all redeemed by his precious blood, and the necessity of maintaining the purity of the Church in doctrine and in life according to the Word or God.
